PCC’s History​

EXCELLENCE SINCE DAY 1

  • In September of 1999, Philopateer Christian College (PCC) opened with 40 students from JK – Grade 8. Today we have over 360 students ranging from Pre – JK up to grade 12.
  • ​In 2002, PCC opened the first Pre – JK ( Pre – Kindergarten ) class, where children of the age of 3 were allowed to come in and receive the full experience of school.
  • Since 2005, PCC has been welcoming international students from countries such as Korea, China, Brazil and the Middle East.
  • In 2007, PCC opened its high school doors with only three students registered in grade 9.
  • In 2008, the Good Samaritan program was created for students with learning exceptionalities and special needs.
  • Today, we have over 150 students in high school.

 

Philopateer Christian College was the first place Diamond Winner in the 2019 Mississauga Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Private School.

Our mission at Philopateer Christian College is to educate and empower young people, transforming them into individuals in whom spiritual, academic, and physical attributes complement each other. Through God’s help, we succeed in changing lives.

At Philopateer Christian College, it is our vision to prepare our students to become well-rounded leaders of tomorrow, following in their Master’s footsteps. We do this by helping them believe in and develop their God-given talents in the right environment, guided by highly qualified teachers.

What We Do​

Our qualified, caring teachers and staff work hand in hand with families to support a healthy growth of all our students. We care for our students’ spirituality and academics, and mentor them to serve their families, their community and their respective countries. Cherishing family relationships, friends and respect towards adults and each other, are part of our school values.

Our Commitment

Philopateer Christian College functions within the policies and philosophy established by the Philopateer Christian College School Board, the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and the Ontario Ministry of Education.

Within such guidelines, the staff of Philopateer Christian College is committed to helping each student to:

  • Develop a responsiveness to the dynamic processes of learning
  • Develop resourcefulness, adaptability and creativity in learning and living
  • Acquire the basic knowledge and skills needed to comprehend and express ideas through words, numbers, and other symbols
  • Develop physical fitness and good health
