Our standard

We aim to meet or exceed Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across this website. We design with semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, sufficient colour contrast, descriptive alt text on meaningful imagery, and reduced-motion preferences in mind.

Features of this site

• Keyboard navigation: every interactive element is reachable via Tab and activatable via Enter / Space.
• Headings: pages use a single <h1> per route, with logical <h2>–<h4> structure for assistive technology.
• Alt text: meaningful images carry descriptive alt text; decorative imagery is marked aria-hidden.
• Form labels: every form field is paired with a visible <label> and accessible name.
• Colour contrast: body text and primary actions meet 4.5:1 contrast against their backgrounds.
• Reduced motion: animations honour the user's prefers-reduced-motion system setting where used.

On-campus accessibility

The Mississauga campus building includes barrier-free entrances, accessible washrooms, and elevator access to the upper floors. The Ottawa campus opened in 2024 to current AODA standards. Tours can be tailored to specific accessibility needs — please mention requirements when booking.

Reporting issues
