A cookie is a small text file your browser saves when you visit a website. It lets the site remember things about your visit — such as which language you've selected, or whether you've been here before — without re-asking on every page.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session | Keeps you logged in to the parent portal during a single visit. | Session |
| Language preference | Remembers EN / FR selection across pages. | 30 days |
| Campus selection | Remembers Mississauga / Ottawa choice when you tick "Remember my choice" in the campus modal. | 30 days |
| Analytics | Aggregated, anonymized page-view counts. No personal identifiers. | 2 years |
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Doing so may break some site features (you'll have to pick your language and campus on every visit, for example). Refer to your browser's help docs for instructions.
We do not embed third-party advertising cookies. Embedded content (e.g., a Vimeo video or a Google Map) may set their own cookies — we recommend reviewing those providers' privacy statements if you interact with embedded media.
